Slightly Negative

Omni Slots’ Bonus Rules set a default wagering requirement of 40x the bonus (45x on the first deposit bonus, 50x on a no-deposit bonus), with 7 days to meet it, and state: “Only real money funds and released bonus funds can contribute towards the wagering requirement of the Bonus.” The document’s own example has a player wager €4,000 from the cash balance to free a €100 bonus. Bets are capped at €5 a round while bonus money is in play, and 171 named games cannot be played with it at all. The bonus is paid for in the player’s own stakes, inside a week.

What this means for players

Omni Slots’ Bonus Rules form part of its general Terms and Conditions and govern every bonus and free spin it offers unless a promotion’s own rules say otherwise. The default wagering requirement is forty times the bonus, and only the bonus, so the deposit is never part of the sum. What the rules restrict instead is which bets count and how long the player has.

  • The bonus requirement stops at the bonus. “Your deposited balance and cash winnings related to the deposited balance are not restricted by the WR, and therefore can always be paid out.” A withdrawal before the requirement is met pays the cash balance and removes the bonus and bonus winnings. Where a second bonus is queued, the rules instead cancel the queued one and keep the active bonus running. Walking away costs the bonus and nothing deposited, though Clause 6.9 of the general Terms and Conditions still requires every deposit to be wagered six times before it can be withdrawn.
  • Only real-money bets move the requirement. “Real money balance is used prior to Bonus balance. The Bonus balance will only be used when there is no real money available in your account. Only real money funds and released bonus funds can contribute towards the wagering requirement of the Bonus.” In the rules’ own example a €100 bonus at 40x means wagering €4,000 from the cash balance before a payout. The bonus balance can be bet, but its bets do not count, so the 40x is met with the player’s own money.
  • Seven days to finish. “To withdraw a bonus and bonus winnings, a player needs to fulfil the wagering requirement of said Bonus within 7 days of the date the deposit was made.” Free spins and no-deposit bonuses are also valid for 7 days unless a promotion says otherwise. The first deposit bonus is wagered 45 times, so a €300 bonus, the most the 1st Deposit Offer page advertises, needs €13,500 of real-money bets in a week, close to €1,930 a day.
  • A €5 maximum bet, with bonus buys included. “All games have a maximum bonus money bet per round of €5,00 (or its equivalent in any other currency).” The limit covers doubling a win after a round and bonus rounds bought inside a game, and “Omni Slots has the right to void any money won with bonus money and the bonus itself if a player is found to be in breach of this clause.” The sanction is written to reach what bonus money won, not the cash balance.
  • 171 titles cannot be played with a bonus. Slots and scratch cards count 100%, blackjack, video poker and poker 10%, and roulette, baccarat, craps, sic bo, bingo, live casino and jackpot slots nothing. The excluded list names 171 games, Gonzos Quest, Dead or Alive, Reactoonz, Aviator and Plinko among them, plus all bingo and jackpot games, and betting on an excluded game with bonus money is listed as abuse. The list is closed and published, and long enough that a player has to check it before every new game.
  • A cap only on no-deposit bonuses. “The maximum payout you can request of the No-deposit Bonus and any related winnings is 5 times the Bonus amount.” No-deposit and free-spin winnings are paid only after at least one successful deposit since registration. No maximum payout is set for a deposit bonus, so what a cleared deposit bonus wins can be withdrawn in full.
  • Abuse is decided by Omni Slots. “If such a review brings forth any indication of the use of strategies by the player which Omni Slots, in its sole discretion, deems abusive, Omni Slots reserves the right to void winnings, refuse payouts and/or remove any redeemed Bonuses and/or promotions.” The list that follows includes a VPN, low-margin bets and switching from high-variance to normal-variance bets after a large win, and is introduced as including, not limited to, the cases it names. The clause says “winnings” without saying whether it means bonus winnings or all of them.
  • Withdrawing a promotion does not reach a running bonus. Omni Slots reserves the right to withdraw a promotion at any time without prior notice by removing it from the website, and the rules add: “This will not affect anyone who has already opted into the Bonus/promotion, made a deposit where applicable, or has already started with the Bonus/ promotion and is expecting the Bonus when they fulfil the requirements.” A promotion taken off the website stays open to the player who has already claimed it.

The bonus requirement never reaches the deposit, and nothing in the rules caps what a deposit bonus can pay. The cost sits in how a bonus is cleared: with the player’s own bets, at 40 times its value or more, in seven days.
