Casinostars Switches Off Deposits, Play and Withdrawals When ID Is Not Sent Within 30 Days

Kyc Requirements KYC Policy Assessed 29 Aug 2026 Assessed by VistaGamble Argus

Worse for players

Slightly Negative

The Casinostars KYC policy gives a player 30 days from the first request to send a valid ID and a proof of address dated within the previous six months. If the documents do not arrive, the team requests them again and the account is disabled, with deposits, gameplay and withdrawals all switched off. The request itself is an automated email sent when the player reaches a deposit threshold the policy does not state, and no withdrawal is processed until verification is complete. The policy names neither the amount that starts the clock nor what happens to the balance once the account is switched off.

What this means for players

The Casinostars KYC policy sets out when documents are requested, which ones are accepted, how they are checked and what happens when they do not arrive. It refers to the Anjouan Gaming Board's regulations and confiscates nothing. The gaps are at either end of the process.

  • A request at an unstated deposit threshold. The company runs an automated system that flags a player and sends an email requesting documents once a certain deposit threshold is reached, and the policy gives no amount. The general terms, a separate document, set identity verification on any withdrawal above the equivalent of €200, and this policy does not repeat it. A player cannot tell from the KYC policy at which deposit the request will arrive.
  • No withdrawals until verified. "No withdrawals are processed from a customer’s account until the KYC verification is completed." The account stays flagged until the documents are received and verified, and the policy states no time for that check. The wait between upload and a first withdrawal has no stated end.
  • Two documents, one six-month date. "To fulfil the company’s KYC obligations, the customer must submit a valid ID and Proof of Address document dated within the previous six (6) months." Accepted ID is a current signed passport, a photocard driving licence, a national ID card or another government-issued photo ID. Accepted proof of address is a city or inland revenue tax bill, a utility bill, a bank statement, an insurance certificate or official government correspondence, and a mobile phone bill is not accepted. The sentence can be read as putting the six-month date on the ID as well, and the policy does not settle which document it means.
  • Thirty days, then the account is switched off. "Where the end-user fails to submit documents within thirty (30) days of the initial request the relevant team is alerted and will request again. In those cases, the account will be disabled (meaning the deposit, gameplay and withdraw options switched off)." Withdrawals are among the options switched off, and the policy says nothing about the balance left in a disabled account or how to reopen it.
  • Restriction, not confiscation, for forged documents. "Where documents are found to be falsified or the end-user is identified as underage, account(s) are immediately restricted." The sanction the policy names for forged documents or an underage player is a restriction on the account, with no confiscation of funds.
  • Checked by a third party, answered by email. Documents are uploaded or photographed through links in the automated email, captured and verified with the help of a third-party identity verification provider, and matched by the company against the details given at registration. A verified player is emailed, and incomplete documents get a follow-up. Both outcomes are answered, so the player is told which one applies.

Thirty days is a workable window, and nothing in the policy takes money. What it leaves open is the start and the end: the deposit that triggers the request is not stated, and neither is what happens to the balance once the account is switched off.

-6 Score
Negative Initial Assessment

Under clause 10.1.7 of the Casinostars bonus terms, a bonus stays active from the moment it is claimed until a withdrawal request has been processed or the balance falls to 1 EUR, and the clause states that playing with the real money balance rather than the bonus balance does not change that. For the whole period, clause 10.1.6 sets a maximum bet of 3 EUR per round and clause 10.1.8 forbids jackpot games, table games, video poker, virtual games, live casino and sportsbook bets. Clause 10.1.4 spends the real money first, and clause 10.1.3 limits withdrawals from a deposit bonus to 5 times the deposit, with any balance above that forfeited. A player's own deposit is played under the bonus's rules from the first spin to the first processed withdrawal.

The Casinostars general terms state that "All deposits must be wagered at least once before the player is able to withdraw any balance." The next sentence lets the casino ask for 5 times the deposit amount at its sole discretion, and the one after it says a charge of 20% may apply to deposits and withdrawals that have not been turned over. Withdrawals are capped at €2,500 a week and €10,000 a month, a withdrawal of €20,000 or more in winnings can be split into instalments without interest, and an account with no transactions for 6 months can be charged €5 a month. The turnover a withdrawal needs is 1x on paper, and the document leaves the casino free to make it five.
