Cazimbo Cookie Notice Describes Four Cookie Types and Names None of the Cookies Behind Them

The Cookie Notice builds on Cazimbo's Privacy Notice and covers cookies, web beacons, pixels, embedded scripts, location-identifying technologies and logging technology, all of which it calls cookies. It opens with a link to change cookie settings and withdraw consent, and its only contact is the Data Protection Officer at dpo@cazimbo.com.

• Consent for two types, legitimate interest for two. Essential cookies for security and navigation and functional cookies that remember language and region rest on Cazimbo's legitimate interests. Performance cookies are used only with consent, and of targeting cookies the notice says: "We will ask for your consent to use these cookies. You are free to deny this consent." The cookies that follow a player for advertising wait for a yes, and the ones that remember a language do not.
• The two notices disagree on functional cookies. The Privacy Notice says consent is asked for non-essential cookies and that only strictly necessary cookies go without it, while this notice puts functional cookies on legitimate interest. A player reading both cannot tell whether a language or region cookie waits for consent.
• No cookie is named. The notice describes types, sources (first-party and third-party) and duration (session and persistent) but lists no individual cookie and no expiry period, and the only company it names is Google, in its opt-out advice. The Privacy Notice sends readers here for the specific cookies used, and the list is not here either.
• Email opens and clicks may be tracked, with consent. The notice says Cazimbo may track whether its emails were opened and clicked, with the player's consent, and that images in those emails can carry technology reporting that a message was opened and acted on. The switch the notice itself points to is turning off automatic image downloads in the mail client.
• How a player arrived is part of what is tracked. Among its reasons for using cookies the notice lists delivering the right information depending on whether the site was reached through a search engine or an affiliate network. How a player found the casino is one of the things the cookies are there to remember.
• Opt-out routes are named, device by device. Browser settings, "Limit Ad Tracking" on iOS, "Opt out of Ads Personalization" on Android, the Google Analytics browser add-on, Google's Ads Settings and youronlinechoices.com are all listed. The notice adds that some cookies may not be deletable on every device and that rejecting cookies everywhere means changing the settings on each browser and device, so refusing is the player's work, once per device.

Nothing in the notice touches a balance, a bonus or a withdrawal. Its gap is disclosure: it explains what kinds of cookie exist and how to refuse them, and leaves out which ones Cazimbo actually sets.
