Whamoo Requires Every Deposit to Be Wagered Six Times Before Any of It Can Be Withdrawn
Worse for players
NegativeClause 6.9 of Whamoo's general Terms and Conditions reads: "Any funds deposited must be wagered at least 6 times but thereafter that deposit or deposit winnings in your account balance may be withdrawn at any time." A €100 deposit has to be turned over €600 before any of it can leave the account. At Whamoo's discretion withdrawals are capped at €5,000 per 24 hours and €25,000 per month, and a withdrawal of 5 times or more a player's lifetime deposits can be held to €5,000 a week. Bets above 20% of the current bankroll count as irregular play. A player who deposits and stops before the sixth turnover has no right under these terms to take what is left back out.

What this means for players
Whamoo is operated by DialMedia Ltd of Birkirkara, Malta, under Malta Gaming Authority licence MGA/B2C/542/2018, and the version captured is "Version 1.09 | October 2024". Its strictest clause applies to every player, with or without a bonus: what goes in has to be played six times before it can come out.
- Six turnovers on every deposit. "Any funds deposited must be wagered at least 6 times but thereafter that deposit or deposit winnings in your account balance may be withdrawn at any time." A €100 deposit needs €600 of bets before withdrawal. Whamoo's separate Bonus Rules say a deposited balance is not restricted by a bonus's wagering and can always be paid out, which holds against the bonus and not against this clause.
- €5,000 a day and €25,000 a month, at discretion. "At Whamoo discretion the maximum withdrawal per player is Euro 5,000 per 24 hours and Euro 25,000 per month." and "This may be reduced to Euro 1,000 per 24 hours for NETeller, Skrill and credit/debit cards." Amounts above the cap are sent in the following periods, and progressive jackpot wins are exempt. A player paid by card can be held to €1,000 a day, so reaching the €25,000 month takes at least 25 days.
- €5,000 a week after a large win. A withdrawal of 5 times or more a player's lifetime deposits across the Whamoo Casino Group brings a game and play review and a limit of €5,000 per week, with the rest returned to the account. "This clause will only be applied at the discretion of Whamoo management." and "All progressive wins are exempt from this clause." At €5,000 a week a month comes to about €21,650, less than the €25,000 the very next clause sets.
- A bet above 20% of the balance is irregular play. Clause 8.8 lists "Placing bets greater than 20% of your current bankroll", betting systems such as Martingale and Fibonacci, sharply changing bet size after a large win, and playing through a VPN or Tor. Where Whamoo deems irregular play has occurred it reserves the right to withhold any withdrawals and/or void all winnings, and under 8.6 a failed gameplay check may lead to the account being closed, balances confiscated and withdrawals voided. A player whose balance is down to €10 breaks the rule with any bet above €2.
- A false complaint is a closure ground. Clause 9.5 lets Whamoo close an account where it finds a breach or has reasonable grounds to suspect one, and the list includes "Making false complaints of any kind". "Accounts closed for breaching the Terms and Conditions may have all balances removed, Bonuses and winnings voided and/or withdrawals denied." The terms do not define a false complaint, and the balance is what rides on the answer. A closure with no reason given is different: "Whamoo reserves the right to close your account at its own discretion and without an explanation but all outstanding balances and pending withdrawals will be processed as normal."
- Two answers on changes. The preamble says "The Provider reserves the right to change and update these T&Cs and, thus, to amend this Agreement between the Player and the Provider at any time with or without notice." A few lines later: "Any changes to these T&Cs must be notified to the players in advance, and the player must re-confirm acceptance before the changes come into effect." The document gives both, and does not say which wins.
- Two answers on disputes. Clause 16.1: "By using Whamoo, its related platforms and/or any other products/services of Whamoo you acknowledge and agree that your sole and exclusive remedy for any dispute with Whamoo is to stop using Whamoo its related platforms and/or any other products/services of Whamoo, and to close your player account." Clause 17.6 sends an unresolved complaint to the Malta Gaming Authority at complaints@mga.org.mt, and "Their resulting decision shall be considered final and binding on both parties." The regulator's route is the one with a decision at the end of it.
- No dormancy fee, low fees. An account is "Inactive" after 12 months without access and "Dormant" after 30 months, and the terms state no fee for either. Deposits carry no fee, withdrawals none except a reserved right to charge on bank transfers to non-SEPA countries, and the minimum withdrawal is €20 in the EU and €50 elsewhere. Identity documents, a copy of the card used and a utility bill are required once total deposits reach €2,000. An untouched account costs nothing under these terms.
The terms are licensed in Malta and name the regulator a player can take a complaint to. The clause that reaches every player is the first condition on the way out: a deposit is the player's to withdraw only after it has been played six times.
