Under clause 13.3 of Wild Tokyo's General Terms and Conditions, the casino has a right to withhold the whole balance or part of it when it has reason to believe the money was affected by a prohibited practice, a chargeback, a bankruptcy anywhere in the world, or a suspicion raised while the player used another online gambling provider. Withdrawals for levels 1 to 22 stop at €500 a day and €8,000 a month, a withdrawal requested before the deposit has been bet three times can lose up to 10%, and documents not supplied within 30 calendar days cost the player the winnings. A suspicion raised at a different gambling site is one of the listed grounds for holding money won at this one.

What this means for players

Wild Tokyo's General Terms and Conditions run to 34 sections under the law of Curaçao, with GBL Solutions N.V. named as the operator in clause 1.1. Most of the clauses that decide whether a player is paid sit in five places: the withdrawal table in section 9, the deposit turnover rule that appears in both section 9 and section 11, the verification deadline in clause 2.5, the dormancy rules in section 5 and the confiscation powers in sections 13 and 14.

  • €8,000 a month at the entry levels. The withdrawal table sets levels 1 to 22 at €500 per transaction, €500 per day and €8,000 per month, rising through three more bands to €1,000 a day and €25,000 a month at levels 67 to 88, with the same figures in USD and CHF. "There is a limit of 3 simultaneous withdrawal requests." Clause 9.4 adds that "The Casino has the right to limit the maximum withdrawal per account." Before identity, age and residence are verified, section 11 stops payouts above €2,000 within 24 hours or €2,300 in total since registration. Once verified, a €20,000 win at the entry levels is paid over three calendar months at the fastest, and clause 9.4 lets the casino set a lower limit for one account without stating any floor.
  • Three times the deposit, priced two ways. Clause 9.3 gives the casino the right to withhold a commission of up to 10% of a withdrawal when the player has bet less than three times the deposit from the real balance, or to refuse it and ask the player to finish the wagering. The anti-money laundering procedures in section 11 put the same rule without a price: the player must have bet at least three deposit amounts before withdrawing anything, and a player who deposited without betting cannot withdraw at all. One part of the document prices the shortfall at up to 10% and another forbids the withdrawal outright, and a player cannot tell from the text which one will be applied.
  • 30 days for documents, on a clock the casino starts. Clause 2.5 gives the player 30 calendar days to supply documents, counted from the withdrawal request or from the casino's own request, and a request made by email or by phone counts. If the player does not verify the account within that time, the clause says the winnings will be confiscated and the account permanently closed. Clause 2.5.1 adds a video call: when a player does not pass it at the agreed time, the casino reserves the right to cancel all winnings and close the account without the right to recovery. Clause 26.4 treats a notice as received immediately after an email is sent or a voicemail is left, so the 30 days can begin before the player knows they have.
  • Dormancy at six months, the balance voided later. An account with no real-money play for six consecutive months is dormant under clause 5.1, and clause 5.2 reserves the right to charge 10 EUR on the first day of every month until the player bets again or the balance reaches zero. Under clause 5.3, an account dormant for 12 consecutive months whose owner does not answer can be deleted, and "Any positive balance will be voided." A €60 balance left untouched can be taken by the fee alone within six months of the account turning dormant.
  • €50 for every chargeback email. When a chargeback request arrives, the casino emails the account owner, and sends two more emails if the owner does not confirm identity and payment method. "A processing fee of 50 EUR will be deducted from the amount to be refunded for each email sent." Three unanswered emails take €150 off the refund.
  • Suspicion is enough to reach the deposit. Clause 13.3 lists the grounds: strong reasons to believe the player took part in a prohibited practice, a suspicion raised by the player's activity with any other online gambling services provider, a chargeback, or bankruptcy or analogous proceedings anywhere in the world. "The Casino has a right to withhold the whole balance or part of it, to recover from the account the amount of any deposits, payments, bonuses or winnings, if we have a reason to believe that they have been affected by any of the paragraphs, mentioned above." Clause 14.7 reserves the right, at the casino's own discretion, to void winnings and forfeit any balance, winnings and deposits included, when it has strong reasons to believe a player disguised an IP address with a VPN or used software-assisted methods, has reasonable ground to suspect forged documents, or suspects bonus abuse or even an attempt at it. In both clauses the sanction turns on what the casino believes or suspects, not on a proven breach, and it reaches the deposit as well as the winnings.

The terms promise fewer things than they reserve. Clause 3.2 guarantees that user funds are kept in a separate bank account, and clause 14.4 promises to refund the outstanding balance, on the player's request, when the casino terminates an account. Clause 9.6 reserves a processing fee for withdrawals without naming an amount, and clause 26.3 makes the casino's own records decide disputes over play: "You acknowledge and agree that our records will be the final authority in determining the terms and circumstances of your participation in the relevant online gaming activity and the results of this participation." A player who disputes a result argues against the records of the party that kept them.
