Casombie Drops Any Player Who Stops Betting for a Month to Its Lowest Withdrawal Limit of €7,000 a Month
Worse for players
Very NegativeClause 6.11 of Casombie's General Terms & Conditions ties withdrawals to five VIP levels, from €500 a day and €7,000 a month at Level 1 to €1,500 a day and €20,000 a month at Level 5, and clause 6.12 states that the status of a customer who has not been actively placing bets for a month is automatically lowered to the lowest level. The casino also reserves the right to decline a withdrawal in any calendar month with less than €20 wagered. Closing an account with a positive balance or a pending withdrawal voids all the funds on the account, a deposit bonus pays out at most 10 times the bonus unless its own rules say otherwise, and a reasonable suspicion of any breach of the Terms gives the casino the right to confiscate the real money balance. A winner who stops playing to wait for the payouts is paid at the slowest rate the terms allow.

What this means for players
Casombie's General Terms & Conditions, version 1.12, put the casino rules, a full sportsbook rulebook and two annexes on the Shop and on gamification on one page. The withdrawal clauses decide how fast a win can leave the account, and several more decide whether some of it leaves at all.
- Five VIP levels set the withdrawal limit (clauses 6.11 to 6.13). In euros the limits run €500 a day and €7,000 a month at Level 1, €500 and €10,000 at Level 2, €800 and €12,000 at Level 3, €1,000 and €15,000 at Level 4, and €1,500 and €20,000 at Level 5. The level is set from the 90 calendar days before the request and can be changed depending on the ratio of deposits to withdrawals and on the bonuses received. "The status of a customer who hasn't been actively placing bets for a month is automatically lowered to the lowest level." No more than three withdrawals can be pending at once. A €60,000 win takes at least three months to collect at Level 5 and at least nine at Level 1, the level a month without bets leads to.
- A payout can wait on a month's bets and on office hours (clauses 6.7 and 6.15). "The Company reserves the right to decline withdrawal requests if you have not met a minimum monthly wagering threshold of 20 EUR within the calendar month of the withdrawal request." Requests are worked through within 3 business days after the request and/or 3 business days after the last withdrawal was paid out, by a financial department working 6 AM to 5 PM GMT, Monday to Friday. The terms ask a player to keep betting both to be paid and to keep the limit that decides how much.
- Asking to close the account with money in it voids the money (clause 3.7). An account can be closed only when it holds no balance and no pending withdrawal, and "In case you want to close your account with a positive balance or/and pending withdrawal requests, all the funds on your account will be voided." Clause 3.9 reserves the right to close an existing account without prior notice or justification and says nothing about the balance when the casino is the one closing it. A player still waiting on a pending withdrawal loses it by asking to leave.
- An unplayed deposit can cost 10% or 15% (clause 6.8). Every deposit must be wagered once before a withdrawal. If less than the deposit is bet, the casino reserves the right to cancel all winnings and keep a commission of 10% of the last deposit, at least €0.50, as payment expenses, or 15% if the balance was funded by bank card or bank transfer. On a €200 card deposit with €150 wagered, the commission alone is €30, and any winnings can be cancelled with it.
- Deposit bonuses need 35x the deposit plus bonus in 10 days and pay out at most 10x (clauses 7.7 to 7.19). Unless a promotion says otherwise, a deposit casino bonus carries wagering of 35 times the deposit and bonus, to be met within 10 days, and a maximum withdrawal of 10 times the bonus, with anything above voided at the withdrawal stage. Real money is wagered first, an individual bet above €100 before wagering is met is listed as promotion abuse, and table and card games count 0% towards wagering while live games, video poker and Plinko count 10%. A no-deposit bonus needs 40x and pays out at most 5x, and no-deposit free-spin winnings are capped at €80. A €50 bonus on a €50 deposit needs €3,500 of bets inside ten days and can then pay out no more than €500.
- More than 2,700 games are barred while a bonus is active (clause 7.10). "In addition, the Prohibited Games cannot be played at all when there is an active bonus on the account." The list that follows names more than 2,700 different titles, on top of a separate list of Excluded Games that count 0% towards wagering. A bonus switches off thousands of games at once, and the only way to know which is to search the list.
- Two more clauses reach money the player deposited (clauses 9.4 and 6.6.4). On a reasonable suspicion of fraud, of illegal or improper activity, or that the player has otherwise breached the Terms, the casino reserves the right, at its sole and absolute discretion and with or without notice, to "void any winnings obtained, cancel any pending withdrawals and confiscate the real money balance of your account". Under clause 6.6.4, identity documents asked for on a refund and not provided within 30 days mean the refund is not made, the account is closed and all funds in it are forfeited, a decision the clause calls final, binding and not subject to appeal. The first is set off by a breach of any rule on the page, and both reach the deposit as well as the winnings.
- The inactivity fee is €5 a month and the casino's to change (clause 6.18). An account with no login for 180 days is Inactive, and "Each Month we may charge 5 EUR (five) as an administration fee while the Account remains Inactive." The next sentence reads: "We have the right to change the monthly administrative fee on our own discretion without notice." A balance under €5 is taken whole, and the fees stop when it reaches zero. At today's fee, a €100 balance is gone twenty months after the account turns inactive.
- No company and no governing law are named (clauses 1.4, 11 and 14.1). "Company" is defined only as the company operating the Website, the Company retains the right to change the Terms at any time at its discretion, and continued use counts as agreement whether or not the player was notified. Clause 14.1 reads in full: "Any legal claim or dispute arising under or in connection with the Terms or your use of the Website shall be settled in accordance with the applicable Law." A player cannot tell from the page who the other party is or which law that sentence means.
Clause 6.17 is the one protection the page adds. Customer funds are kept in dedicated client bank accounts, separate from the company's own, and "Consequently, in the event of our insolvency, your funds are protected and shall be returned to you." It protects the balance from the company failing, not from the withdrawal levels, the closure rule or clause 9.4.
