Cosmobet Allows Five Days for Certified ID and Rules Out Any Appeal if Funds Are Cancelled

Worse for players

Very Negative

Cosmobet requires any certified identification documents it asks for to arrive within five days of the request, and if they do not, all user funds may be cancelled and the account may be closed. The policy adds: "This decision is final and not subject to appeal." A refund itself is considered only within 14 days of the transaction, or 30 calendar days where a player says someone else accessed the account, and not at all once the deposited funds and any associated bonuses have been used in play. Its costs fall on the player and may include an administrative fee of up to 20%, at the company's sole discretion. The deadline sits in a refund policy, but what it puts at risk is the whole balance, not only the refund.

What this means for players

Cosmobet's Refund Policy runs to seven short points, and the one with the widest reach is not about refunds. Citing applicable laws, it gives users five days to provide any certified identification documents Cosmobet requests, and a missed deadline puts every balance in the account at risk with no appeal. Refund requests go through Live Chat or the support email address.

  • Five days for certified ID. "If such documentation is not provided within five (5) days, all user funds may be cancelled and the account may be closed." The clock starts at Cosmobet's request, and the policy does not say which documents count as certified or who may certify them.
  • No appeal. "This decision is final and not subject to appeal." The side that sets the deadline also has the last word on what happens when it is missed.
  • 14 days to ask for a refund. "A refund request will only be considered if submitted within the first fourteen (14) days of the transaction, or within thirty (30) calendar days if a Player claims that another individual has accessed their Player Account." Considered is the strongest word the policy offers, so a request inside the window is still a request, not a right.
  • Played deposits are not refundable. "Refunds are not available if the deposited funds and any associated bonuses have been used while playing our Services." The policy does not say whether a deposit that has been partly played still qualifies for what is left of it.
  • Refund costs of up to 20%. "Such costs may include, at the sole discretion of the Company, an administrative fee of up to 20%, as well as any fees incurred during the processing of the refund." The policy does not say what the 20% is measured against, when the fee applies or how its size is set. If it is taken from the refund, a €500 refund could lose up to €100 before processing fees.
  • Fair play. All users must play fairly and must not influence any game's outcome with computer-assisted tools or other unfair methods. The policy attaches no sanction to the rule in this document and does not say what other methods count as unfair.

The refund side of this policy is narrow and priced, with two weeks to ask, unplayed money only and a fee whose size is the company's call. The identity clause reaches further, because a five-day deadline and a closed door to appeal decide the whole balance, not just a refund.

Cosmobet KYC/AML Policy
-3 Score
Slightly Negative Initial Assessment

Cosmobet's KYC and AML policy runs checks for politically exposed persons at any time, at the company's sole discretion. Where a player turns out to be one, the company reserves the right to close the account and return the existing deposits, and may charge an administrative fee of 20% of the amount returned. Identity is checked before any financial transaction, proof of residence must be no older than 6 months, and identification documents and transaction data are kept for at least 10 years. Being a politically exposed person breaks no rule in the policy, and it is the only trigger the fee clause names.

Cosmobet's general terms cap withdrawals at €7,500 a week and €15,000 a month, limits the company may update or adjust at its sole discretion, and set a Maximum Win Limit of €100,000 per bet or spin, jackpots excluded. Deposit-bonus winnings are capped at 10 times the qualifying deposit, four clauses allow a 20% deduction from deposits returned when an account is terminated, and another allows up to 50% of the remaining deposit to be kept as a termination fee. Any win above €15,000 may be paid in monthly instalments of up to €15,000. A €100,000 win, the most a single bet or spin can pay outside a jackpot, could arrive in seven monthly instalments.

Each of Cosmobet's first four deposits earns a 100% bonus up to €500, and each bonus carries a 30x (deposit + bonus) wagering requirement that must be completed within 7 days. The deposit itself moves to the bonus balance and counts towards wagering, so a €500 deposit that takes the full €500 bonus needs €30,000 of wagering before a withdrawal can be made without cancelling the bonus. The package terms allow a €5 maximum bet and name no maximum win. At that maximum bet, clearing one full bonus takes at least 6,000 bets inside a week.
