HorusCasino Blocks Every Withdrawal Until ID Is Verified and Never States the Deposit That Triggers the Check
Worse for players
Slightly NegativeUnder the HorusCasino KYC policy, no withdrawal is processed from an account until KYC verification is completed, and the request for documents is an automated email sent when a player reaches a deposit threshold the policy does not state. The player must then send a valid ID and a proof of address dated within the previous six months. If they do not arrive within 30 days of the first request, the team requests them again and the account is disabled, with deposits, gameplay and withdrawals switched off. A player cannot tell from the policy how much they can deposit before the check begins, only that a withdrawal waits for it.

What this means for players
The HorusCasino KYC policy is a short procedure written against the expectations of the Anjouan Gaming Board. Name, date of birth and residential address are confirmed at registration, and the full document check comes later, set off by deposits.
- No withdrawal before verification. "No withdrawals are processed from a customer’s account until the KYC verification is completed." Accounts stay flagged until documents are received and verified. Whatever the balance, the cashier waits for the documents.
- A deposit threshold the policy does not state. An automated system flags a player and sends an email requesting documents when they hit a certain deposit threshold. No amount is given anywhere in the policy. A player cannot tell from the document which deposit will start the check.
- Two documents, one of them recent. A valid ID (a current signed passport, a photo-card driving licence, a national ID card or another government-issued photo ID) and a proof of address dated within the previous six months, such as a utility bill, a bank statement, a city or inland revenue tax bill, an insurance certificate or correspondence from a government body. A mobile phone bill is set apart on the grounds that it is not tied to an address. A bank statement from seven months ago does not count.
- A third-party provider checks the documents. The automated email carries links to upload or photograph the documents, and an unnamed third-party identification verification provider assists in capturing and checking them. The details are matched against those given at registration, and the player is emailed once verification is complete. The company that handles the scans is not named.
- Falsified documents or underage play. Where documents are found to be falsified or the player is identified as underage, the accounts are immediately restricted. The policy does not say what happens to the balance of a restricted account.
- Thirty days, then the account is switched off. If documents are not submitted within thirty days of the initial request, the relevant team is alerted and requests them again. "In those cases, the account will be disabled (meaning the deposit, gameplay and withdraw options switched off)." The policy sets no further deadline and says nothing about the money left in a disabled account.
The rules are short and the documents asked for are common ones. The two things a player would most want to know, the deposit that starts the check and what becomes of a balance once the account is switched off, are the two the policy leaves out.
