HotSlots Refunds Deposits for 24 Hours, and Only the Part Still in the Account
Better for players
Slightly PositiveA HotSlots deposit can be refunded only if the request is made within 24 hours, and only for the part of it still sitting in the account — the policy refunds a balance, not a deposit. The route runs through a dispute first, the casino may ask for ID, proof of address no older than three months and proof of payment, and it reserves the right to hold any refund until it is satisfied who the account holder is. The usual processing time is stated as not exceeding 5 working days. Deposits are kept in bank accounts separate from the operator's own; the policy says nothing about what that separation protects.

What this means for players
HotSlots will consider a deposit refund only if the request arrives within 24 hours and only for funds still in the account. The document sets no rule about wagering; it sets a rule about what is left. Whatever has been lost in that window is not a refund question, and whatever remains is the most the request can cover.
- A dispute comes first. The policy says a refund can be requested "after filing a dispute regarding a deposit-related concern", by contacting support with the issue and the amount. Two steps sit inside a 24-hour window that starts at the deposit, not at the dispute.
- 24-hour limit. A refund request is considered only if it is made within the first 24 hours of the deposit. A problem noticed on day two has no route through this policy.
- Funds still in the account. The request can only cover deposited funds "still available in the customer's account". The policy refunds a balance, not a deposit: play €90 of a €100 deposit and the most a refund can return is €10.
- Verification may be requested. The customer "may be asked" for a copy of ID, proof of address no older than three months and proof of payment. The document does not make this mandatory; it makes it the casino's choice.
- Refund held at the casino's discretion. HotSlots reserves the right to "withhold any refund until the identity of the account’s holder is established to our satisfaction". The clock on the request is 24 hours; the clock on the payout has no number, and the standard it must meet is the casino's own.
- Processing time. The policy says the "usual processing time for the refund request should not exceed five working days". The word is "usual" and the verb is "should", not "will".
- Payment route. Refunds go back to the original deposit method, or by bank transfer where that method cannot pay out.
- Separate accounts. Customer funds are "kept in bank accounts separate from business accounts". The policy states the separation and nothing about what it protects; it does not mention insolvency, trust status or the licence, so protection should not be read into it.
The policy is precise about the player's deadlines and silent about how long the identity hold can last. A request must land in 24 hours and can only return what is still there, while the payout waits on an identity check that ends when the casino is satisfied.
